Scouts (10.5-14)

Scouts are aged between 10½ and 14 and meet on Thursday nights from 7:30 – 9:00 PM.

Just like Beavers and Cubs before the Scout section, the Scouts have a varied programme which to enjoy.

The Scout programme is more advanced than the preceding sections with a focus on skills for life. That does not mean that the fun and adventure has been removed for the Scouts still enjoy playing team games and taking part in day outings to places such as Diggerland.

Scout meetings will include a game and a programmed activity which is at a more advanced level than Cubs. Scouts completed the activities guided with adult leader support rather than being lead through the activity. Leaders are always on hand to assist where needed though to ensure that the Scouts are able to complete the activity!

We make maximum use of the outdoors all year round and have camping events as well as indoor events. Scouts will be able to take part in activities such as; Kayaking, Cycling, Boating, Archery, Caving, Abseiling and so on.

Just like Beavers and Cubs, Scouts also continue to meet in the summer holidays.
