Beaver Scouts (6-8)

The Beavers enjoy a wide ranging programme of planned activities which encompass fun and discovery. Beavers can be seen to be cooking, planting seeds, completing craft projects, learning about the world around them and more.

Meetings consist of games and a structured activity which varies week by week. During the summer months we like to be outdoors as much as possible, this may be a visit to a local park, or one which is further afield. We also do mini countryside walks, picnics, tracking and bug hunts. Being outdoors is not confined to just the summer, for we take part in Easter Egg hunts, mini night walks and similar activities.

Beavers are able to enjoy the day trips that we run to varying destinations. Trips could be to a zoo, the beach, a theme park, science activity centre, mystery tour and more.

As we continue to meet during the summer holiday, the Beavers join in with the Cubs during the summer holidays on some of their day trips and also have their own evening outings.

Beavers also have the opportunity to join in with our sleepover events which are fun and exciting events where they get to stay with their friends rather than going home! We make our sleepovers as adventurous as possible.

All of the above helps the Beavers to gain their activity and challenge badges and learn new things as they do!
